Effortless Hurricane Protection for Your Home

PGT WinGuard
PGT WinGuard Impact-Resistant Windows and Doors provide beautiful, full-time protection against flying debris and hurricane force winds.

Now there’s no need for expensive and unsightly shutters or plywood. Even when you’re away, WinGuard Windows and Doors guard your home against hurricanes, vandals, thieves and intruders with no effort, while reducing noise and protecting against damaging UV rays from the sun.

PGT WinGuard Impact-Resistant Windows and Doors do it all. No wonder they’re called Visibly Better.

PGT WinGuard Impact-Resistant Windows and Doors combine heavy-duty aluminum frames with impact-resistant laminated glass. A special silicone glazing keeps the glass from breaking away from the frame. Although the glass may crack on impact, the interlayer keeps the glass intact, preventing destructive wind from entering your home.

Custom Aluminum Windows and Doors

PGT Windows and Doors offer many options for enhancing your home’s appearance and resale value, while reducing energy costs and protecting fabrics and furnishings. You can choose from many types of window and door styles, depending on your individual tastes and needs

• Single Hung Window
• Casement Window
• Fixed Lite Architectural Window
• Awning Window
• Horizontal Roller Window
• French Doors
• Sliding Glass Doors
• Prime Door

CHOOSE YOUR COLORS AND FINISHES.
Windows and doors are available in your choice of white or bronze. A choice of hardware finishes also available for French doors, including Antique Brass or Polished Brass.

CHOOSE YOUR DESIGN
Adding windowpane dividers (muntins) enhances many architectural styles and gives your home extra street appeal. Muntins come in two styles and have a traditional-looking profile

INCREASE YOUR HOME’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY
In a climate where air conditioning is needed much of the year, glass options that reduce solar heat gain can provide significant savings on energy bills. For instance, double-paned insulated glass offers excellent U-value and reduces sound when compared to ordinary single-pane glass. And our standard insulated glass is covered by a 10-year warranty. PGT also offers heat-reducing tints and high-performance low-E coatings that reduce solar heat gain while protecting your furnishing, draperies and artwork from fading.

In considering glass options, it’s valuable to compare how various options affect solar heat gain and visible light transmittance. Reducing solar heat gain can save on air conditioning bills. Reducing visible light transmittance – that is the brightness of the daylight entering a home – may or may not be a desired effect.
